Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends. Holy heck! What's goin on today? My eyes are still burning from watching RIMM nosedive $20. OUCH! They lowered guidance and Wall-Street responded. RIMM dropped 13% from my open position, so I dumpped it and bought it back cheaper. To add insult to injury the USD was down 1-2 percent vs forgin markets. I really hope congress stays out of energy trading, it's the only place left to make money.
In case you haven't already heard The Dow was down like 200 points today. the Fed has done all it can do for now and I'm cryin like a baby looking at my portfolio. I do however, have some silver lining for you. I stayed up real late last night and came up with a few stocks poised to make some good money over the next several months. It's quite odd, but most of them are banks. The first is, BHLP(Berkshire Hills). They are involved in many banking investments i.e. business + individual accounts, individual + commercial loans and government + agency securities. BHLP is priced at $24 and is valued at $35.67. It has strong Realative Value. Also, projected earnings growth 12% and yearly sales growth 25%. One more bank I've found to be undervalued is, BPFH(Boston Private Financial Holdings). They are just off their 52 week low at $6.05 and valued at $9.51. BPFH does residental and commercial banking for "high net worth" customers. They are also involved in commercial property loans. Boston Private has good relative value(1.21 of 2.00). The forcasted earnings growth is 4% and yearly sales growth is 7%. Last but not least. I give you TRS(Trimas Corp.). They manufacture highly engineered products for commercial, industrial and consumer markets. They also make R.V. trailer products and recreational accesories. TRS is priced at $5.74 and valued at $7.26. They have a fair relative value, with forcasted earnings growth at 13% and yearly sales growth at 4%. I also have the TRS annual report for 2007 for e-mail if anyone wants it. These are companies I believe are headed for big comebacks over the next several months. They are my Micro-cap Sleepers.
So what are your feelings on the market today? What is the real street sayin? Did RIMM receive Street Justice, or are we in trouble? please, let me know.
Even on a day like today, I can't help but see the light at the end of the tunnel. I think we have gotten a chance to beef up our portfolios. If we stay diversified we should be o.k. Have a good weekend and remember we're all in this together. Thanks for reading.
