Street Justice: Welcome to The Jungle!

Well, we've made it through the half way point of what could turn out to be one of the most important weeks in US financial history. In true American form we have banded together(at the last minute) and are poised to beat the odds. I have got a killer company that I am very excited about today.
I was going to do the usual 3 companies with good numbers and tons of potential, but while I was researching I found 1 that I felt should have this entire section to itself today. The company is CHTL/China Tel Group. CHTL is in the Telecommunications industry. They install, manage and service broadband wireless networks in China. I must take this opportunity to say that CHTL is a speculative buy. They were in the mineral exploration business until March of this year. Only after not finding any minerals did they change their principle business operations. That being said, I still like China Tel a lot and I'll tell you why. CHTL may be new at this game, but they are very busy. They just signed into a stock purchase agreement with ASSAC(Asia Special Situation Acquisition Corp) a firm in the Caymans. This is basically an investment of $250 million by ASSAC in China Tel. CHTL also just completed installation of the first phase of a wireless Internet network in Beijing. This network which was approved by the Chinese Government is a Wimax/WiFi network providing wireless broadband services. O.k. I'm sure you want some numbers and not just a bunch of hype from me, so here you go. CHTL is up (price) 100% YTD, 20% since the beginning of May(after they switched businesses) and they're up 7% over yesterday. I was hard pressed to find any earnings data, but I believe their EPS are somewhere around $.50. As for their financials, I already mentioned they just gained access to $250 million. I imagine that covers any expenses they might incur over the next 6 months to a year. CHTl is currently priced at $2.41 and seems poised to "breakout" soon. When a stock is this cheap and has this much potential I would feel more guilty not recommending it and having others miss out than I would if I did recommend it and it goes down. There is just too much potential. This might be a good pick for those of us that don't have as much to invest.
Being the optimist, bear slaying maverick that I am. I have to be careful not to let my feelings or emotions control my investing decisions. With all the gloomy news leading up to this week though, it's hard not to get excited over this weeks not so gloomy news. The truth is we still have a long way to go before we're out of the woods. That being said, things are looking up(unless you bank at IndyMac). Earnings announcements for the first 3 days of the week were pretty positive overall. To sum it up, I think it may be time to start looking cautiously at some of the companies that have been beat up so bad over the last year.
So what's really goin' on? Is all this talk and hype a band-aid on a severed limb? Or, is America just going through some growing pains(we're only a couple hundred years old)? Let me know.
I made no changes to my Forex positions. I did some early morning trading on the EUR/USD yesterday and today, but long-term I'm still bettin on the dollar over the eruo and the yen. As with the stock market, I may be in for some more pain before the gain, but I'm forever(until it betrays me) bullish on the dollar.
I really hope we can keep this positive momentum through Friday(and beyond). I'm not sure if oil will cooperate, but we may not need it to. Take a look at CHTL(the company I recommended today). I think it'll be worth your while. I hope so, cause we're all in this together. Thanks for reading.
